Freestyle 610 / 650:

Reset the handset and base
1. Press “Menu
2. Press “up” or “down” until “SETUP” is displayed then press “Menu” to select.
3. Press “up” or “down” until “DEFAULT” is displayed then press “Menu” to select. “PIN?“is displayed.
4. Enter your 4 digit PIN (0000) then press “Menu”. Display will show “CONFIRM?” Press “Menu” to select. Your BT Freestyle 650 will reset itself to the default settings

Note: This 610 unit has no inbuilt answering machine.

Switching the answering machine on/off
Press "Answer - On/Off" The machine announces, “Answer on”, followed by the current outgoing message, or “Answer off”. The Messages light comes on when the answering machine is switched on.


Play new messages only
Press and hold "Play" until you hear “You have ‘n’ new messages.” Your new messages will be played.


Select and play outgoing message
1. Press and hold “OGM” until you hear, “Please select outgoing message”
2. For Answer and Record, press “ ¦< Skip” or for Answer Only press “>¦ Skip”. The selected message is played

Registering your BT Freestyle 650 handset to a base
On the base:
1. Press and hold “Find” to put the base into registration mode.
(The base beeps and the “in use” light flashes while the handset is being registered)
On the handset:
2. Press “Menu”
3. Press “up” or “down” until “REGISTER” is displayed then press “Menu”
4. Press “up” or “down” until “REG BASE” is displayed then press “Menu”
5. “BASE 1 2 3 4” will be displayed. (Currently registered base to will flash)
6. Enter the number of the base you want to register to. ”SEARCH 1” is displayed (where 1 is the base number you are searching for).

Freestyle 710 / 750:

System reset
This resets your BT Freestyle 710 to its original settings.
1. Press “Menu”, scroll “down” to Settings and press “Menu”.
2. Scroll “down” to Base settings. Press “Menu”.
3. Scroll “down” to System reset. Press “Menu
4. Enter the system PIN (0000) and press “Menu”.
5. Press “Menu” to confirm or BACK to cancel.
If you confirm the handset returns to standby.

Note: The 710 unit has no inbuilt answering machine.

Switch the answering machine on / off
1. Press “Menu” Scroll “down” to Answer machine. Press “Menu”.
2. Scroll to Answer on/off. Press “Menu
3. Scroll “up” or “down” to highlight On or Off and press “Menu”.
4. Press “Back” to return to the previous menu level.

Answer settings
1. Press “Menu”. Scroll “down” to Answer machine. Press “Menu
2. Scroll “down” to Ans.settings and press “Menu”.
3. Answer Mode is highlighted. Press “Menu”. Scroll “up” or “down” to select Ans & Rec or Answer only. Press “Menu” to confirm.
4. Scroll “down” to Answer delay and press “Menu”. Scroll “up” or “down” to select the setting you want and press “Menu” to confirm.
5. Scroll “down” to Record time and press “Menu”. Scroll “up” or “down” to select the maximum recording time for each message and press “Menu” to confirm.
6. Scroll “down” to Call Screen and press “Menu”. Scroll “up” or “down” to select On or Off and press “Menu” to confirm.
7. Scroll “down” to Alert tone and press “Menu”. Scroll “up” or “down” to switch the message alert tone On or Off.
8. Press “Back” to return to the previous menu level.

Delete all old messages
1. Press “Menu”. Scroll “down” to Answer machine. Press “Menu”.
2. Scroll “down” to Delete messages and press “Menu”.
If there are no old (unplayed) messages, the display shows No old messages. If there are old messages the display shows delete all?
Press “Menu” to confirm or “Back” to cancel.
3. Press “Back” to return to the previous menu level.

Registering an additional handset
At the base:
1. Press and hold “Find”.
At the handset:
1. Press “Menu”, scroll “up” to Settings and press “Menu”.
2. H/set settings is highlighted. Press “Menu”.
3. Scroll “up” or “down” to Register and press “Menu”.
4. Press “up” or “down” to select the base you want and press “Menu”.
5. Enter the system PIN then press “Menu” the display shows “Registering…..
(The handset is automatically assigned to the next available handset number)
